It's kinda amazing that something drawn so painterly with enough pushing and pulling can look pretty photorealistic from farther away. These closeups are much closer than the poster, but don't worry, you'll see plenty of details in that too. ;} Promise.

This was the original color rough to set the mood of the poster. Things get tweaked here and there, but it was the cool colors and the positioning of the church that was of interest to Fred and I. Once starting it, however, we realized it was more appropriate to have a dead autumn-winter day to show abandonment and cold rather that blatantly using snow. Sometimes you have to get a little creative and not use the most obvious vehicle for 'cold'. :}
